Electric Tesla Semi Trucks Are Hitting European Roads!

Ana sayfa / News

Tesla is gearing up to take a significant step in electric transportation by bringing its Semi trucks to the European market. The Tesla Semi has already begun limited use by a select group of customers in the U.S., and now it’s Europe’s turn. Here are the details…

Graham Carroll, Tesla’s Semi Development Manager for America, announced that the company is taking the necessary steps to bring its electric trucks to Europe. Tesla is currently searching for a “Semi Truck EMEA Business Development Manager” who will be based in either Amsterdam or Berlin. This indicates that plans are seriously underway.

Elon Musk mentioned in February that it would make sense for the Semi trucks to be produced at the Berlin Gigafactory. Tesla plans to make this factory a key hub for its operations in the European market, meaning there’s a high probability that the Tesla Semi will be produced in Berlin for the European market.

As of now, the Tesla Semi is only available to select customers in the U.S., including giants like PepsiCo, which was one of the first companies to order the Semi in 2017 and the first to use it. With the use of the Semi, PepsiCo has taken a significant step towards sustainable transportation.

Additionally, companies like UPS and food distribution firm Sysco have also ordered the Semi. Retail giant Walmart is testing alternative electric transportation solutions as well. These trucks, capable of offering long ranges of up to 1,000 miles (approximately 1,609 kilometers), are ideal for both environmentally friendly and economical transportation. Seeing Tesla Semis on European roads will be a significant development for the future of electric transportation.

Tesla’s plans to expand its European operations aren’t limited to the Semi trucks. The company is expected to further strengthen its presence in Europe by increasing production capacity at the Berlin Gigafactory. What are your thoughts on Tesla Semi coming to Europe?
